Ready for Food?

I caught Lily trying to eat the BUMBO this morning.  Do you think she is ready to start solids?!?  I think so!  You would think she would enjoy chewing on teething toys, but she won't have anything to do with them.  If we give her a teething toy, she holds onto it and then eats her hands.  Maybe someday!

When I lifted her out of the BUMBO, there was a whole pool of slobber that ran of the side down into the seat.  Tyler would have loved cleaning that up!  He thinks slobber is worse than spit up!

Lily's Nursery

We finally finished the nursery!  Here's a look...

This is the wall that Tyler painted just for Lily.  We had to figure out a way to block off our loft to make it more of a room, and this is what we thought of.  I had this picture in my mind of cute, little, colorful blocks with white trim.  Tyler made my vision come true!  We keep her toys, some books and her hair accessories (do you think she has enough?!) here.

This is Lily's crib.  She loves it!  We went with a butterfly theme.  It has been really fun searching for things that match...like the mobile, rug and...

curtain holders!  Ty found and bought these all on his own.  What an amazing daddy!

This is "Mommy's Corner" where I feed, cuddle, rock, and read to my sweet Lily.  It's my favorite spot in the house...and where I spend the most time!

Lily's True Colors

What Tyler neglected to share with you in his latest post was that Lily spit up all over her Utah onesie and all over his Utah Pac 12 shirt.  So, after daddy left for the game, I had to change her into something she would be happier in.

My sweet friend, Sunshine made her this darling headband and hat.  The hat is still a little big, so we made it a sweater just for the picture.  We promised to send Daddy and Grandpa Aston a picture during the game, so we had to get her in her true colors!

When Tyler returned we finally came to a compromise.  When Utah and USC play, Lily is a Trojan.  When Utah and BYU play, Lily is a Ute.  That way mommy and daddy both stay happy...until next year!  

Lily's Utah Pride

Lily got decked out today for her first official PAC 12 game of the year. In honor of Utah's loss, she has chosen to boycott all future USC football games. GO UTES!!!

This is one of Lily's favorite ways to stand. It makes us laugh because it looks just like Woody in Toy Story when he yells at Buzz, "You are a toy!" Glad we caught it on camera!

Sonic the Hedgehog

Does anyone remember the cartoon Sonic the Hedgehog? You know, the character with the spiky hair? Well, that's our nickname for Lily. As you can see, her hair loves to spike out all over her head. It has a mind of its own!
