Four Months!

We are now going on four months! We can barely believe it. The last month has been absolutely wonderful. We have both been as busy as ever, but our busy time goes by fast and our time together is just right. We have successfully seen Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix five times now. Once was in three D which was a very "eye opening" experience. We also took a short vacation this last weekend in Salt Lake City. We spent the evening at a hotel and then all day Saturday visiting some of the Historic Sites that we have never visited. We had a great time. While on our trip we saw a picture of Abraham Hunsaker, one of Scott Hunsaker's relatives. We later stumbled across his old piano. You can see the pictures below.

Amy has been really busy at school. However her class is very well behaved and really loves her. She comes home and tells me about stories that kids write to her, and shows me papers that her kids give her that show how much she is loved. Amy just had a very successful choir performance last Sunday. The choir performed great and out attendance is growing. Amy received many compliments on the choirs performance.

Tyler remains quite busy at school. There really isn't a whole lot to tell about him. Tyler's math class is supposed to be in chapter six right now and has to make it to the end of chapter seven before the end of the semester; However, they are only in chapter 3. He fears that the next few weeks will be quite crazy as they try to cover 4 chapters in a two week period. Other than that, he is enjoying school and staying quite busy.

We tried to go see Harry Potter again last night, but ended up seeing Hairspray because the listings in the paper were wrong. Hairspray was quite enjoyable. John Travolta makes a great mother and still remains an excellent dancer.

We will be spending Thanksgiving with Tylers family this year. It should be a very enjoyable time for us. We will then be spending the evening with the Gwilliams. We will go see "Enchanted" which looks very enjoyable. We have now opened up comments to everyone that wants to leave a comment on our blog. We love you all and wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving

Going on Three Months!!!!

Hi Everyone,

Doesn't time just fly by!  We are finally settled into our humble little apartment.  We've been home from our honeymoon for over two months now.  It is amazing how quickly a place can begin to feel like home.  Amy's expert decorating techniques and great taste has made our place the perfect place to be.  We love being here! (Although Amy still prefers the 70 degrees and above temperatures of Placentia.  On top of our cold weather, our heater has been broken, so we have been unable to keep our home warm.  Hopefully it will be quickly repaired.

Amy has been teaching school for quite a while now.  Her students are very well behaved.  I can tell that she is starting to love them just like she still does her kids from last year.  She comes home every day and tells me about her kids and the funny things they say.  She has already been receiving notes and emails from parents telling her how much their kids love her and how excited they are that their children are in her class.  She has a special way of connecting with the children.  Her students from last year still give her hugs every day.  Amy has had her hands quite full with school and trying to be so helpful at home.  She is such a wonderful wife!  She works so hard at being the breadwinner and then comes home and plays the role of wife.  She takes good care of me, even when I am so undeserving.

Tyler has been very busy since school started.  His schedule includes the fascinating classes of: Partial Differential Equations, Thermodynamics II, Mechatronics, Fluid Mechanics, and Material Science.  It sums up to a total of 17 Credit Hours along with 8 hours of Labs.  He spends far too much time doing homework.  That has been the large majority of what Tyler has been doing.  He is on track to graduate with a BS Degree in Spring of 2009.  Thats only three more semesters. He is currently working at Heatizon Systems as a "design engineer."  He enjoys his work and feels that it is offering him a great background for future employment.

Amy has been called as the Choir Chorister in our ward.  She has a variety of participants from youth to elderly.  Some are extremely talented while others lack in their musical capabilities.  However, Amy being as capable as she is conducts them masterfully and with such enthusiasm.  Each week our numbers grow larger due to her influence.  Amy has also been doing missionary exchanges about once a week.  She has been a great help to the sisters since one is significantly ill and unable to work in the evenings.  Amy has sacrificed much time to help the work go on.  Tyler is attempting to serve faithfully in his Home Teaching assignment.

We have very much enjoyed the upper status of being married.  We are truly blessed to have one another.  Eternity Never seemed so great.  Thank you to all of you who have been so supportive of our efforts.  We love you all,

Amy and Tyler Gwilliam

A big update!!!!

Hello Everyone!!!!  We are finally starting to get settled in our new home.  Shirley Ann has been spending the last few days helping Amy and I do returns and get unpacked and get our apartment all put together.  It is really starting to look good.  I'll post some pictures as soon as I can.

Amy and I had a great honeymoon.  I posted some pictures online.  You can view them by clicking here.  I'll just warn you now...there are a lot so make sure that you have a few minutes when you go to look at them.  Scotland was one of the most beautiful places I have been to.  London was really fun!  Amy particularly loved being stuffed into little underground tunnels with thousands of people.  She loved the sanitary conditions that accompanied that experience.

In Scotland we went to go see Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, The National Galleries, and took a bus tour to Glencoe, Loch Ness and the Highlands.  It was a great time.  In London we saw Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London.  Our Hotel was Across the river from Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament so we had a pretty neat view from our hotel room.  We also saw the musicals, Les Miserables and Wicked.  They were both phenomenal.

We also had the chance to attend a session (in French) at the London Temple.  It was really neat to take a train through the countryside to get there and then see the beautiful temple grounds.  We had a really nice session and the entire trip was great.  (It was almost like being on the Hogwarts Express!!!!)

I have been able to finish my finals and things have finally settled down.  It has been so wonderful the last two and a half weeks.  We love being married!  It is great!  Thanks to all of you for your help the last few weeks.  Our wedding and receptions were such memorable and special experiences for both of us.  Thanks for making it all possible for us.  We love you all!!!
